Meet Dr. Michelle Wear
Our doctors are committed to continuing education and learning the best of the new advances for providing quality care, ensuring that they will remain abreast of the latest in dental solutions and techniques.
Dr. Wear knew early in her life that she wanted to be a dentist and she realized that dream in 1990 when she graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Wear believes that only through listening, clear communication and understanding can the most effective treatment be provided to support your overall health. Dr. Wear thrives on her relationships with patients and is most fulfilled when she has the opportunity to assist an anxious or fearful patient in a relaxing experience that they didn’t dream was even possible!
After dental school, Dr. Wear went on to complete her general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Loma Linda, California, where she received special training in hospital – based general dentistry and working with medically compromised patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Frederick County Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Meet Dr. John D. Tran
Dr. Tran received his dental training from the University of Maryland – Baltimore, College of Dental Surgery after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Maryland at College Park. Upon completion of his dental degree, Dr. Tran continued his specialty post-graduate studies in Prosthodontics at the University of Maryland. He had three years of additional training in aesthetic management, treatment of cancer/trauma patients, and full-mouth reconstruction to receive his certificate in Prosthodontics, and Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. Following his residency at Maryland, Dr. Tran went to Loma Linda University’s Center for the Implant Dentistry Fellowship program in Southern California. During his surgical and implant fellowship, he performed implant placements, implant restorations, sinus and bone grafts, All-on-X and same day dentistry.
He has been a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and is an Associate Fellow in the AAID. Dr. Tran has been awarded with the ACP’s Prosthodontics Scholarship and with Teledyne Water Pik’s The Best of the Best in Prosthodontics Award and the Harry B. Schwartz Award in Excellence in Fixed Prosthodontics. Dr. Tran has also been recognized as Baltimore Magazine’s Top Dentist – Prosthodontist. He is also a member of the Francis Scott Key Study Club in Frederick, MD.
Dr. Tran has been involved with various volunteer organizations including Clinic with a Heart in Loma Linda, CA, Hope for Tomorrow and Operation Smile medical/dental missions internationally. He is excited to join Dr. Wear and her amazing team at Premiere Dental Arts. He looks forward to meeting and treating the patients here and exploring more of the Frederick area.
